7/7
Today is my mother’s birthday. I spent almost the whole weekend with her, so I didn’t manage to get her a card until this morning. I hate writing cards. In a rush, I didn’t know what to write, and I thought of something she said recently, “I never thought I’d live to be 50, with all that has gone on in my life.” It was then I figured that I should respond to that, so I wrote this in her card.
“You cannot believe that you turned 50, but I had no doubt. We visualize, and then we realize, but we always believe. I believe that you can live another 50 years, then you can visualize yourself living another 50 years and beyond in your two sons, who love you very much, and for you, we will realize.”
It’s cheesy, quick, and possibly better than anything the other members in my family wrote. I hope she likes it, considering that I’m a really bad writer.
